🚨PSA🚨I take passport pictures (my job) and the majorly of countries will deny your picture if your face has too much depth/highlights. So basically no shadows or shininess. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR HIGHLIGHTER (unless you have checked your countries guidelines and it specifies shine on face is okay!). Most of the women who come in wear it and we have to wipe it off, makes me so sad because I don’t wanna ruin your beautiful makeup:(. that is all🥰

A girl in front of me at the CVS, when I got mine, was told to take some of her makeup off. She ended up leaving to come back that afternoon. The contour and long wing and lots of eyeshadow was pointed out as problematic (it changed the shade of Hazel of her eyes to green looking in the pic). Apparently, they won’t accept pictures with too much contouring and eye makeup in fear that facial recognition wouldn’t match up. Or customs agents may give you a hard time if you are in full glam and contoured in the pic but not the plane or vice versa (or—should you go somewhere very conservative—also give you a hard time because they can. Don’t wear a low cut shirt for this reason either). Don’t do a lot of contour either. They use that pic if you go missing overseas too (and that makeup is going to wear off if you get “snatched” another way).

I know in the US you can’t wear makeup like the girl she shows in the beginning. When I went to get the application for mine it tells you on one of the pages of the application not to wear makeup or even smile a lot so I would definitely double check the fine print of the paperwork or ask the place where you get the application or take the picture :)
