Zhang Yufei is not blunt. She asked the right question. And she had the right to ask the right question. I love her for that.

This year's China team was so much fun to watch, I'm not Chinese but I was really rooting for them

Zhang Yu Fei was NOT being blunt;
she was being honest. She should had
made that dumb reporter whom asked
her the insulting question, to answer her
highly legitimate question.

Hongchan is amazing. The number of times she entered the water and practically didn't splash was incredible. She's the best diver I've seen

Social media made this Olympics more interesting because of all the back stories and memes. Which in turn humanized Asian athletes. I watched most of the coverage through Tiktoc.

And I love this for them. The language used to describe Chinese athletes in the Olympics has always been borderline racist. They’re just machines, not people with personalities. I’m glad they’re showcasing their individuality so people can no longer make blanket generalizations about them or any other nation.

Hongchan is now an international superstar. The Chinese are now comfortable with their success and their personalities.

Zhou Yaqin's reaction to and joining in on the medal biting was the most wholesome and precious thing I've seen in a long time.

This Olympic was pretty racist against asians, that's why the last athletes had to call them out... Not just China, many other Asian countries were discriminated against...

The one with the Spanish flag melt my heart ❤ this is what I call being fairplay and supportive. I love that kind of mentality 🤩😍🤩

Yufei did right by saying that. She has a point.

I’m an American. Independent, politically. I have to say, China has been killing it. Their technological manufacturing is killing it, from prototyping, automation, battery/vehicle tech, cell phones, infrastructure, etc. their culture is booming with a whole new middle class. Movies, video games, social media. And they’re still continuing to perform well in other areas, like military, politics, amongst other. Very very very impressive to see a nation of over a billion people come this far so quickly from the Cultural Revolution. Hopefully we can be friends and have no conflicts! 🇺🇸🇨🇳🇺🇸🇨🇳

The whole idea of the chinese eyeing only for gold is such a malicious impression created by the US rhetoric against China. I mean, what do you want, for team China to eye for bronze? Let’s talk about how team USA was obsessed about the number of golds they got and were upset that it equalled Chinas. Who eyeing for gold now? Let’s tell team usa to not focus on gold, try telling them that.

Nicely put! But also, what's wrong with being quiet and reserved. There's nothing wrong for quiet people to be excellent at what they are doing. :D

These young Chinese athletes grow up in an economically stronger China. They're self confident n very positive about their future. They believe in an equal world n won't submit to Western bullies. It's time!❤❤❤❤
