First time owner/carrier. Got this as my first. Thanks so much. This helped a lot.

The green military toothbrush! Absolutely wonderful tool. Tip: simple soap and hot water leaves the bristles clean once the gun is done. Too easy. I use foaming bore cleaner for the rail, buffer / spring, and barrel. Good stuff.

Oil! I have fixed a lot of guns that were over oiled. On handguns, oil should be used in tiny amounts in the trigger group. Tiny. I like Rigg grease for the rails. (Super light, use it fishing reels, it is that light.)

Yes, I am OCD on clean weapons. No sleep until they get cleaned. Yes, the USMC made me that way. A phrase I learned, still resides in my brain. We fight tonight, meaning, keep everything ready. Go time can be anytime.

The glove/condom joke earned you a new subscriber. Also ordered the Hidden Holsters hybrid based on your review as well. Thanks for making great content.

I know I'm late. But I just got my Hellcat and into the EDC world. I def been cleaning my guns allll wrong. Watched a different YouTube'r that said go through the barrel to clean but not bring it back through. So now I know I've been using way too much lube oil and everything. I appreciate this video, I now know how to clean my guns properly.

Thanks man,
I just cleaned my hellcat pro comp for the first time after 700 rounds. Was pretty dirty using minimal cleaning supplies.

I love cleaning my guns. Not only are you cleaning, you should be inspecting parts as well.

"worked as good as the last time I wore a condom."

Well said, brother.

I like to use Q tips since my glove size is XL. Less hassle than using brush and patch combo in my humble opinion.

I use an old credit card & fold a patch over it to clean the slide rails.

Run Lucas in my DirtyMax and my firearms/tools. I'm not a fan of the CLP that was used in basic. I find that if you clean with a CLP then you need to lube it after for sure. A fan of Rem oil in colder times of the year. Great video and the information is useful for all firearms.

I was a little concerned when I put it back together and tested the functionality the trigger wouldn’t drop the firing pin. I guess mine need to have the magazine in in order to function.

I started with clp but I use hopes oil and bore cleaner now. I find it keep the weapon lubricated better. Use a bore snake after I put my bore cleaner in my barrel. Also I put I little oil on my slide and scrub it with my nylon brush, it helps remove and prevents scratches.also I put 2 drops inside my slide where the barrel fits. Other that that I do exactly what u do.

I agree gotta keep those edcs clean! It’s your life protection equipment. I have an M&p and a Glock and the one I’m not using to edc usually gets shot at the range once a week and it gets filthy and I don’t clean it just lube it and I bet it gets jealous of my edc and how clean it is haha
