On September 12, 2024, the Mexican Army took a significant step in its ongoing modernization efforts by acquiring 340 new Cobra 4 tactical vehicles from Streit Group. These vehicles will replace the decades-old Humvees, which have been in service for more than 15 years. This decision is part of a broader program aimed at reducing the high operating and maintenance costs associated with aging military vehicles and improving the mobility and versatility of the Mexican Army's vehicle fleet.

a funny thing about these models is that the Mexican version has FMVSS North American mandatory lit and reflective side markers, which is odd to have in a military vehicle, they are normally seen in civilian vehicles
