Ohh I love the magnet trick!!✨ here’s another gooder… if your trying to try cheap paints, they’ll crack when dried, so add a drop of food grade glycerin to your half pan when the paint is still wet, mix well with a toothpick or pin… then let dry. The glycerin will add elasticity to the Paint stopping it from cracking 👍😻

I like tubes the best because not only can you make your own multiple pallets but you can share with friends!

Oh my gosh - I could have saved myself such mess using super glue. I glued my magnets to the bottom....but I think your method is so much more efficient!!! Brilliant!

Some half pans come in sets with self adhesive magnets and I love them for making pallets. It's so easy and I don't risk having tiny hands eating or losing tiny magnets because they come on sheets.

If you want to dry them quicker fill the pan 1/3 and let it dry about 24 hours then fill the pan half way mix and let try another 24 hrs then you can top it off and wait another 24hrs for a total of 3 days. I fill mine half way

You also get much more paint for the money. Tube are more economical by far.

I use sheet or tape magnets that I'd cut to size of the pan -- half or full. These small tiny magnets are great idea. 💡 Oh thank you 🙏

I wonder if the paints that have iron oxides in them would be affected by the magnet being placed so close while they're still liquid? That's an amazing idea regardless though!!

Great idea, thanks Krist! The holders with metal clips suck! I have glued magnets to the bottom outside of pans but putting on the inside like she does might work well. If you have a plastic flat palette instead of metal, you can glue down a magnetic sheet, cut to size, from a magnetic vent cover. By the way the best order to put pigments in the pan is warm on one end and cool on the other like a color wheel.
