For Central Govt Employees…
As per CCS(Conduct) Rules!! No govt servant is allowed to speculate in stock market i.e. no Future and Option and neither Intraday trading.
However, Investment is allowed i.e. occasional and not frequent.(This rule is open to interpretation but doesn’t include speculation)

If Total transactions of sale and purchase of Stocks/MFs exceeds the total value of 6 months basic then you have to report to ur Office.

If you want to avoid declaring the transaction value exceeding 6 months basic to ur office then you should not transact (both buy and sale) beyond 6 months of basic salary in a calendar year. However, already invested stocks can be gifted to ur family members and then ur family member to whom u gifted the stock can sell as their own holding and taxable in their hand!! Maximum govt servant do this only!!

After 2005 Government employees ka kuchh Paisa NPS (National pension scheme) me jata hai, yane govt ne govt employees ka paisa mkt me lagaya aur yanhi govt oppose karti govt emp. mkt me aneko.
