Right now I have the essential plan can I switch to go5gplus for 1 month just to trade in my iPhone XR for $800 and get the iPhone 14 and switch back to essential plan?

Unless you need truly unlimited priority data, you are better off just getting an unlocked phone and prepaid plan.

Verizon your in a 3 year contract but they unlock your phone after 60 days

T-Mobile will buy you out of you 3 year contract for a 2 year contract that your phone is LOCKED to the network?
