Is Arena Breakout: Infinite Really Pay to Win?

Everyone knows the mobile gaming monetization technique. It's not great when it comes to PC. Arena Breakout: Infinite (PC), the port/remake of Arena Breakout (the mobile game) is introducing transactions & subscriptions for in-game items, and currency. This video breaks down all of the prices, and Pay2Win mechanics, possible issues, and worries.

I want to see this game succeed, and being able to purchase in-game currency is a step too far. Mobile games work, and are profitable. Even if it forces out all the community, leaving just the larger paying players, it's still more profitable. I hope they sort this out as best as possible as I really do enjoy playing Arena Breakout: Infinite.

I agree on it being an issue. But i really hope they remove the ability to buy KOEN's directly and add it to a battlepass. Where you can earn KOENS and skins etc. also premium missions for BP owners, that also earn you KOENS and EXP. This would maybe be more acceptable and good for the economy no?

I feel like the pure P2W currency gets all the hate, just like it deserves, but those subs are super bad too.

This is just my opinion but honestly I don’t think it’s P2W because at the end of the day the enemy having good gear that they purchased from koen bought with real money doesn’t make them good players. At the end game it’s even less P2W because at that point you will also have end game gear money even if you are F2P. You must also realize that this game is FREE. Tarkov is 250 and filled with cheaters. So honestly while it is frustrating that some people are rich asf and waste money on game currency, it is ultimately NOT a game changer or game-altering feature, as it doesn’t make them better players. On the contrary, they’re just easy to kill loot bags lmao

ahh yes the 1x2 secure container that only last a day, and immediately used after claim it without save it on inventory for future uses, but wait its better you can only claim 2 times in ONE week, GREAT GAME

Pay for convenience not pay to win its not locked behind a special addition or lootboxes it seems like the gaming community forgot what pay 2 win means cod b03, cod aw, and ww2 were pay to win. But this is just convenience. Its not about gear its anout skill. If you suck you suck and just meed to get better

Yea heavily disagree. This game is far from p2w. You can easily earn 1 million a raid with a cheap kit. This koen buying is for players who do not have the time to earn the koen and just want to have fun. As for the secure container, sure itll help you lose less and earn a little more but it doesnt matter because it does nothing to help in pvp. Same with storage space. These are just pay to convenience

"hardly pay to win" That is hilarious.. anything that gives you an edge over free to play players that they have to spend hours grinding to afford to compete with a swipe of a credit card. Thats a Major issue, yeah it takes skill to play the game but anyone who plays tarkov knows its jot as easy to take out some looted chad with the best gear and the best ammo especially if theyre not alone. Thats just one of the issues of all the pay to win features like the paid subscriptions to just have a secure container, pay to just chat with tokens. So on and so forth. The worst thing is the developers lied and said this game would be fair to the players.

Don't blame others if you lose; it's not their fault. You're just spending more on gambling and then giving it to someone else. The setup for losing everything resets, as if you had never played before.
