They just nerfed the grenades in AB mobile because back in the older seasons, the grenade where cheap and can oneshot, because of that many players will do no gear raid and will only spam grenades. Yes experienced that too.

infinite like mobile ver in cbt to season 1 before patch, i hate it when they do nade one hit to kill player but in after season 2 they change so you can survive from nade

So glad they nerfed it. Nades are usually most effective in closed environments. Back in S1 whole 4 man squads would run like 15+ nades each running around with T3 Armour and GS2s nading people from SMG range even in open areas. It was an absolute nightmare.

Whilst i was raiding in farm with random people, i was looting a gym bag in the open (Bad idea) when a random grenade was thrown on me and i was so confused because they're weren't any footprint sounds, when i looked behind me there was my teammate literally beside me.

Here a lot depends on the armor and your equipment, but normally if you are slightly away you may or may not receive part of the grenade fragments.
