We currently( in Hungary) speeding to a drought so hard, I can't even cry. It's because we did finish wheat pretty fast, but the corn already burning up and the same goes for the pollen in the tassel. They say 37°C today and 22 °C at night. It's sucks to see when your hard work just turning yellow months before it should. There are farmers who already moved the corn, because of the heat and the lack of rain.

thanks for the north farm crop tour Mike. Your durum and canola crops looking fantastic. Always a gamble seeding low areas, most years it works. Come September/October harvest, you should see really strong yields from the north farm, flea beetles cantake the fun out of growing canola !!

Hey Mike!
That lodging, and a little tip burn, in a wet year, makes it look like you have a bit of copper deficiency

There was a fellow from north east Saskatchewan who compared June 2023 and 2024 and found that 2024 was over 9 degrees cooler average temperatures. That is a lot of difference.

The July heat will always determine what happens with the dryland crop. Seeing the same thing happen here too southern Alberta. Good early stand but nothing down deep to root into. We will see...

We are way behind due to excess moisture in SE Missouri, US. Also, I have used double the amount of chemical this year trying to keep the fields clean. Good Luck!
