Breaks my heart to see all your hard work and expense go up in smoke. Must make it tough to stay positive and get up in the morning. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Pray for rain everyone!

Mike no words can describe what’s happening. It’s absolutely sad and I can tell on your voice. You are human, we all work so hard for little most of the time, then this takes place.

Our crops are hurting also now. This latest heat wave is taking its toll on everything, including us.
Rain would help plump up kernels but there will be a lot of damage.

There will lentils combines west of me by wks end. Not going to be an enjoyable harvest.
I know you want to be strong when you make these videos, but you can’t hide the fact it’s beyond frustrating. There’s nothing wrong with letting it out. I do and it does feel good.

Take care!

In Southern Minnesota where I'm at, we have had maybe 2" since end of May. Our corn and beans are hanging in there but sandy ground and hills are gone. We need rain!

Thanks for the reply Mike, as we saw in your video you have a fair amount of patches that seem not to be suffering too badly, what I found was after deep subsoiling it allowed moisture to move horizontally as well as letting the root system to go down in search of a little more moisture than it had previously . I appreciate what one farmer does, doesn’t suit another situation . Good luck with what you do manage to harvest .

Hope you get some rain Mike . We are getting destroyed here in Ireland ☘️ Praying for some dry weather and sun . Really wish we could trade some rain with you for dry heat 😎

I can see how the north farm is a great sideline to the south farm, it helps prop up production surely?

Think it's time to move everything north 😊

Hang in there - it will get better - it always does. You can control only what you can control, and you and no one else has any control over the rain.

I live in a pocket in se Sask that miss lots of the rains. However I think we are at about 5” total now. 2.5” of that came in about 1/2 hour June 26th.

Hi mike, it makes me very sad to see this picture, we are very dry in eastern South Dakota. Not as dry as you, but wanted to tell you I continue to pray for you and us during the drought.

I had pasture land in Kansas. My thinking is that the prairie should never have been plowed. Of course some areas like the lowlands are farmable. Eat more beef. :)
