I had an idea that the Double Tap Trigger could be added to the Alternator, so it would fire from each barrel at the same time per trigger pull, of course, with a slower fire rate.

I think a mild change to the car would be to decrease fire rate, recoil, damage fall off at mid-long range with heavy ammo to insentivise carrying both heavy and light ammo for different purposes

I've had an idea for a hop up for a while, it would work on both the alternator and a new gun (double barrel shotgun) which would basically just make both barrels shoot at once, giving it more damage per shot but a slower fire rate (or for the shotgun, more time reloading because it would only have two shots per mag anyway)

Any chance you could code that in to the game?

A weird idea for you to try would be the devotion but the bullet speed is the other way around, as in it goes from fast firing to slow.

There is one weapon I always thought had a cool function that I would like to see replicated. In the unreal tournament games the shock rifle would shoot out these relatively slow moving orbs but if you switched to the alternate fire it would shoot out a beam. If you hit the orb with the beam it would cause it to explode.

This can definitely be implemented just like how the carr can change ammo types. They could add guns with alternating firing modes or even something like the shock rifle where both ammo types can merge into something destructive.

I want the L-star to be a scatter rifle, so lowered damage and insanely low accuracy but same fire rate with it firing 3-5 ‘stars’ at a time and the ‘stars’ have no real pattern.

feels like the start of a new hop-up or at least the idea of a hop-up that changes certain guns consuming double the ammo but the way the gun fires is "Altered"

I think that a submachine gun that has a similar fire rate to a rampage but has high damage per bullet would be cool. Pretty much a close range rampage with high recoil that pumps out big damage per second (pretty much identical to r99) but punishes you more harshly for missing.

It’s all or nothing, you hit all your shots and dominate or you miss one shot and now you’re disadvantaged (It’s like as if shotguns were a submachine gun).

This is a pretty cool idea and could be a way to make the alternator more viable towards end game. Another thing that might be cool in Apex is a charging SMG like they have in Fortnite right now. Basically you hold to charge a certain amount of bullets and then they all come out extremely fast. It's kind of fun because people press you since they think you're a bot and aren't shooting them for some reason and then you just melt their health out of nowhere.

I could see this being a CAR hopup since it already has a fast fire rate, it'd be like if the CAR has the rampage thermite perk.

The TTK of the alternator in Titanfall is absurd tho. Make sense since it shoots out from both of its barrels. Double tap beaming

They could make this a hop up or firing mode so you have one that alternates making it fire one bullet at a time at its current firing rate but it can change to shoot out of both barrels at the same time decreasing firing rate, doubling damage but also doubling ammo usage per shot to be 2 so you can choose either high fire rate so less reliance on good aim or slower fire rate with more damage making you need to conserve your shots per mag if you don’t have much ammo

Maybe if the select fire hopup is reintroduced again, maybe it would be applicable for the Alternator like this...

When i read the title, i thought that one barrel of the alternator is not working but fire rate keeps the same as if it works normally, just to create a cursed version of the alternator
