It's all related. Every ancient culture in the Middle East has a story about a god slaying a serpent (Teshub, the Canaanite legend of Baal Hadad slaying Lotan, Yahweh slaying Leviathan, Marduk slaying Tiamat, etc.) There was clearly an exchange of ideas and philosophies between them, that's why the main narratives are so similar but the details were changed to fit theological/political views.

Wow, the volume is immense, it would be a massive undertaking even today.

Thank you, Chuck.
It seems to me that a common thread in this area is having high ground. Whether it was for flood protection or as a tactical defensive positioning technique or maybe a combination, I don't know. There must be a fresh water source there or very close by.

Remarkable site. Thanks for the introduction.
on a humorous note, @ 6:00 Sky Gods, in easy-access left-handed BVDs? who knew?! lol!
and not to nit-pick, at all!, but whenever I hear it mispronounced, esp in this context, I somehow think of "Cajun" fiddle music, and filet gumbo, developing in ancient Akkad!
so, just to toss in my deux cents (doo sonts): Akkadian = a-ka-DEE-un, and Acadian (also Cajun) = a-KAY-dee-un way different whew got that off my chest!

I wonder if there is more deeper and/or more in the center. The artifacts are interesting, particularly the horses.

"the storm god kills the sky dragon" that sounds a lot like ragnarok, thor slains the big serpent but gets killed by its poison. This is really interesting!

I've wondered if the serpent is a reference to the galactic plane and the one fighting or controlling it is the 13th. Zodiac sign which falls on the ecliptic plane.

Wasn't there a 'fairly' well preserved temple of the storm god in Aleppo too if I remember right?

Just a request... I saw on Adapt 2030 a short look at North Africa, Ghana and the Sahel, with brief mention of Ethiopia and the new dam being constructed there. He thinks that the actual timelines discussed in Archaeology may be off considerably as indicated by Saharan geology and paleo-history/climatology. He used interesting Google views of the earth to illustrate the discussion and I thought, maybe, since you seem good at that sort of research, maybe you could take a look at that?

There is some scanning technology in use that could possibly see if there had been something on that Stella. It's been used for unreadable tombstones and such.

Why are the world's Petroglyphs and legends of serpents all the same throughout the world during the Antediluvian era?🤔
