its insane how good these little Donners are. Behringer used to be the budget sleeper brand, but they have a plastic construction and sometimes poor buffers. these little Donners are metal enclosure, true bypass and sound amazing. they occasionally blow them out at an even cheaper price. I got the Morpher & ABY box for $20 AUS delivered to my door. ridiculous value.

There’s been a Morpher on my board for several years now. I love it, even the bizarre fish graphic. My favorite setting is volume at about 10 o’clock, natural mode, gain at just below noon, tone just above noon.

This is one of the few demo videos where I'll state it does a disservice to the pedal rather than augmenting its capabilities. If you set your amp gain to edge of breakup, you'll have much more gain on tap than this demo shows. Additionally, the pedal pushes a LOT of bass, but the mic used to record this demo is inadequate. I'm listening on good monitors and I feel the dynamic range is very limited. I've had my Morpher on my board for years. It's the only 'glam rock in a can' pedal I've really liked. I've tried it on a few of my amps and the results are always *chef's kiss*.

My recommendations:

This is a humbucker pedal. You will not like the sound from single pickups.
This pedal should be treated like an overdrive, even though it's a distortion. Get your amp up to breakup territory. A crisp, clean sound will limit the pedal.
This is NOT a transparent pedal. it will shape your sound into the nasally -mids range
The pedal does not tend to choke out the bass frequencies (such as with a Rat, for example). If you're cab is a 1x12, 2x12 4x12 etc, you'll find yourself turning back on your amp's bass and changing the pedal's tone to compensate.

You know, I have a bunch of donner pedals, they do a great job with them. I hear they are just mooer pedals with a new paint job, but I enjoy every one I have. My favorite is the looper I bought, it has drum machine and looper with 40 slots. The distortion is one I DONT have though. Definitely a cool pedal.

if these exact same sounds came from an older pedal from a stablished brand, everyone would make little excuses for its suboptimal features and would be happy using it, it doesn't sound bad
