This video is amazing, and the time it must have taken. Truly the perfect way to make your game look better without losing or even gaining fps by evaluating what settings to lower or increase. Thank you very much.

It's mental how crazy magnificent GTA V looks, the charcter models are fine but the world is gorgeous

I seriously cannot recommend this video enough. Only a small visual downgrade but the trade off for a crazy massive fps boost plus still looking pretty good is amazing

Pretty impressive Video! I was a bit sceptical at first but it actually worked and boosted my FPS from ~60 to ~90! Very good preparation for the upcoming GTA Online DLC 👍

Reflection MSAA only seems to work for cubemap reflections in the game, so just reflections outdoors that do not include bodies of water or mirrors, it's easier to spot how it affects reflections during night time and rainy weather

Came here to learn about what settings to use, left here thinking about my existence in this world. 10/10 would recommend.

Thank you so much for this guide dude. I wanted to give GTA5 a proper playthrough in preparation for GTA6, but I was horrifically confused at how maxing out the game on PC could cause my FPS to dip into the 20s at 1440p. I'm running an Arc A770 16gb which doesn't play nice with older games, but I knew for sure its not that bad either.
Following the optimized settings in your guide, I was able to run the in-game benchmark and get dramatically higher framerates without much of a cut to quality. Outside of encountering a dip to the 50s as a .01% low, its been a pretty smooth 70s to 100+FPS!

from 30 fps to 75 fps at 3k using a ryzen 3 3200g, 32 gb ram and a rx 570 4gb. You made my day, i also recomend trying directx 10.1, it can get you 10+ fps

FXAA On
MSAA, TAA Off
Population Density 80%

Shader Quality High
Shadow Quality High
Reflection Quality Very High
Reflection MSAA Off
Water Quality High
Particles Quality High
Grass Quality Very High (PS4) / High (XB1)
Soft Shadows Softer
Post FX Very High
Anisotropic 1-2 is or much nigher visual quality

Ambient Occlusion High
Tessellation High
Advanced Graphics all off

Wow amazing boost. This tells us that MSAA really not worth turning on. It does basically nothing in games and only hog your FPS. Thanks for the guide!
