I'm disturbed by the report I heard that McCarthy agreed to weaken the Capitol police. The insurgency continues. It never stopped.

The white insecurity needs to stop. If there's a black man up for speaker from another party.. there's no need to try to run another black man in your party to counter the image.. just run eligible candidates..

“…we could have elected the first black speaker…”. Just like in GA, when they needed a black man to run against Warnock! How’d that work out for you’ll?

DIVERSITY IS CONVENIENT FOR THE GOP WHEN IT BENEFITS THEM.

I wish that somewhere in the Republican caucus were 6 moderate enough Republicans who would be willing to throw up their hands and vote for Mr Jeffries.

I know it will never happen. But, boy, would that stick in McCarthy's craw!

This is no better than the Black guy wearing the "Blacks for Trump" shirt at rallies and Trump identifying him as "my Black guy."

Elect the first Black Speaker? He's right there... winning every single round. Vote for him then 🤷🏽‍♂️

I really like IIhan. She reminds me of one of my favorite aunts. Always smiling and tells the straight truth.

Jeffries has most of the votes. He should be the speaker. Period.

Hakeem Jeffries was actually nominated by his party. Mr Byron was used much like Herschel Walker, I don't see how he didn't see that I'm sure the world sees it

Republicans needed a token and I am glad you are pointing it out.

It's sad that seditious conspiracy traitors can hold up the works of the people like this without consequences.

"We could have elected the first Black Speaker of the House." (but 200 of the people that nominated him didn't vote for him???) Definitely a PROP!!!

Can you imagine the lack of intelligence that it actually took to vote for these people to run the country and make the laws.

Omar is an inspirational, hard working Rep. The GOP doesn't have enough of her ilk. Unfortunately.

What they were doing was so blatantly obvious. Do they really think that the public is so dumb, that they didn't see the game they were playing? What a lack of dignity for all involved.
