If McCarthy had stood his ground after calling Trump out immediately after 1/6, he might at least have some respect from his colleagues left. Now he doesn’t even have that and he’s going to lose the Speakership that he threw the country under the bus for. He deserves to lose it all and watch someone else take his spot.

The Republicans always says that Government doesn't work...
Then they get elected and prove it! 🤣😂

McCarthy is an example when you abdicate your moral values for ambition.

Chris, great observations on Nancy's dealings. Chris...you have a spot!

Doesn't look like McCarthy is going to have any better of a day today. And Gaetz doesn't seem like he'll back down anytime soon. Especially since he has sent a letter to have McCarthy removed from the Speaker's office that he moved into before he was even voted in as Speaker. Gaetz went as far as to ask at what point does McCarthy become considered a squatter.

I'd love to see Jeffries win this. What a blow that would be and I'd love it.

Adam Kinzinger said that McCarthy single handedly gave Trump oxegen after J6 by going down and kissing his ring. He could have pulled the plug let the air out of the orange balloon and saved the GOP. Instead he did what he did and now deserves the 'We'll see what happens' Trump endorsement.

Please have Chris Matthews on more frequently. I so miss his show and his wonderful straight on opinions. And thank you to the medical folks who are responsible for him still being with us.

*Bring him miss his way of reporting... Hardball was a great Name for his style...and no one else has that for Democrats...and they desperately need that...I stopped watching MSMBC after he was pushed off!!!...I will come back if you put him back on ...and so will others...Miss that guy*

Nancy had the decency to put the needs of the people first. Kevin wants power for himself.

I really miss Chris Matthews. I would be happy with a weekly half hour show. He reminds me of how I grew up. Relationships are everything. Of course the merits of an issue matter but really understanding people is so important. The bars on capital hill were so important. Clearly no one cares about that any more. Chris tells it like it is.
