Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3 Inverted Review

Fanatec changed the sim racing world with the Clubsport pedals when they were first released. These were the first performance pedals available to sim racers at a reasonable price. Over the year Fanatec has made these pedals better with the V2 model and then the V3 model with each version seeing improvements.

Now Fanatec has turned things upside down with the introduction of the inverted version of the V3 pedals. This set comes fully loaded with the extra damper kit installed and in addition to that has a drop down clutch and brake pedal like a real car.

Shaun Cole of The Simpit takes these new pedals for a spin to see how they handle on the track, He covers their adjust ability as well as their construction.

Man, the writing on this is awesome; legitimately NPR-quality descriptions; concise, illustrative, and well-spoken!

I'm writing this comment six years after this video was posted and I'm amazed by the ingenuity and engineering of Fanatec. They really elevated the level of realism of sim racing.

I've been using the Clubsport pedals for 6 years, replaced the load cell once. Great set that I would never switch out.

Glad to see I’m not the only one that races in their socks.

Just ordered my V3’s yesterday. Looking forward to trying them out very much

You got me sold on these. Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for to upgrade from G29 pedal set.

Just bought some standard V3s because I wasnt sure the Inverted would fit my GTOmega stand.

Now I'm feeling regret at not going inverted and just buying a new stand if needs be

Was lurking on those pedals since the launch. Normally would never have bought them but the Fanatec Blak Friday deal put at them -40% sale, lowering the price from 600€ to 360€ which is finally a reasonable price for me. They're arriving in two days and I can't wait to have them replace my V2 pedals which I was actually very happy with.

I just did a DIY inversion, swapped the gas and clutch then mounted the whole platform on a 1/2" piece of MDF and mounted it to my rig, would highly recommend.

Nice review Shawn, my V3i pedals should arrive tomorrow. Keep up the good work, haters always have an underlying reason that has nothing to do with the person they are hating on.

I think what some aren't getting here is Shaun talking about how Fanatec changed the game. First, most of us had plastic pedals. Fanatec introduced metal construction at a reasonable price, where most premium pedal manufacturers charged much, much more for their metal pedals. Now Fanatec brings inverted pedals at a reasonable price, certainly much cheaper than other inverted pedal sets. It's going to cost you as you move away from cheap stuff to equipment that should last a lifetime. Are you a casual user or are you ready to take your sim racing to the next level?

fantastic review once again. wish these things were more freely available in South Africa. exchange rate plus shipping costs make it a big no no.

I recently bought some V3s but I really like these. I would buy some today If only my GT Omega Pro would allow for it.

They're only $600 today, instead of the $500 back in 2017. Just ordered a set today. I have the regular V3s and love them, I wanted to try the inverted ones.
