As of now, I’ve seen the film twice. Once on 11th a couple weeks ago and again yesterday at a screening w/ Paul Dano and he said how explained how emotional Spielberg would be on set, and I just have to applaud Spielberg for having the courage to tell his story, and it absolutely paid off! I’m so happy we finally got a movie about the man behind the camera, and what I absolutely adore about this film is how it’s not just a Spielberg film but it is also an accolade to those who wish to follow their dreams! I’m in a very similar situation like Sammy where I just graduated high school and college is stressful enough but this film gives me the determination to do what I need to do to pursue that dream of working in film!

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year, and after watching it, it was like watching a mirror of myself that fell in love with cinema and made amateur short films in a similar way.

This is the only other movie I’m most hyped for the rest of the year. Spielberg is my all time favorite director, and this being a very personal movie for him, I hope he made some of his best stuff. Can’t wait to go see it Friday 😁👍

Man, Spielberg was exorcizing demons. As well as solidifying his legacy as the greatest in filmmakers. In his most personal film since Schindler's List. A career break out from Gabriel Labelle as Sammy. Enthralls the narrative of this coming of age quasi-autobiographical
Film. Great performances from Paul Dano, Michelle Williams, & Seth Rogan, Keeley Karsten, Julia Butters, Standout performances goes to Judd Hirsch, and a award worthy glorified cameo by David Lynch.

Like you, Spielberg is my favorite director, and everything you were saying about what this film expresses about the magic of cinema sounds right up my alley! So glad you loved it. Can’t wait to see this!

I'm a huge fan of Spielberg and I saw Schindler's List for the second time and it's still one of my favorite movies. I'm very excited for this one. In fact I'm seeing it tomorrow.

Agree with you 100% on this one and I agree the message of the mother at the end was the only thing I felt like the film wanted me to agree with as the right decision, and while I understand the decision entirely I think it was made for the wrong reasons and that ultimately we do owe those we love and depend on us more than just following our own hearts desire. But it was probably played true to what actually happened so I can't fault that but it was a bittersweet movie but one of the best for sure and makes my top 5 of the year!

I’ve been very excited about this film ever since I heard about what it was. It seems like something that’ll be a very special film. It also helps that I’ve been watching through all of Spielberg’s movies over the last two and a half months. That may or may not be in preparation of a certain ranking coming from a certain YouTuber.

Great review! Has the ranking been delayed?

Knew this would be a slam dunk, but didn't realize it'd basically be a new Spielberg classic for you. I'm insanely hyped for that ranking and now for this movie.

As a grade 12 student applying for film course in college next year, this film is gonna hit me hard for sure. Plus it comes out on January 2023 in my country which is my birthday.

I booked myself a ticket for opening day.. Tomorrow. Only about 7 tickets pre sold for the afternoon show. Not exactly a rush to see it. To top that off its not being promoted on the Regal site. Listed is about it..

Just got home from seeing it and loved it! It really spoke to me personally as someone who grew up watching Spielbergs movies and how his films and others inspired me to get into filmmaking. Beautiful performances from everyone. Can’t wait to see it again

Dude Sean! That complete Spielberg ranking is going to be Epic! Can't wait to see that video. I just watched the Fabelmans tonight. I loved it too. Especially that ending shot. I don't know if everyone will like it though if they don't love movies like you and I do.
