I never saw it myself (must have been rarely shown), but I remember my mom telling me about how she saw a commercial for a "Playstation 9" around the time the PS2 was out. I thought she either misheard/misread the commercial, or that it must have been a joke commercial. Finally seeing it, the latter is proven.

Every time I think of PlayStation as a brand, this commercial comes to mind. By 8, it'll be all VR and by 9 it'll be mind-altering nanobots you snort. There'll be no way to capture the footage since you'll be rendered unconscious by how totally rad the games are.

What's funny, the PSVR will eventually be this. Heck, Sony got to VR tech just 17 years after this. Think of how crazy it is that tech advanced that much in just one generation.

2024: Playstation 5 is going to die sooner and probably Playstation is going to be just a history of the past.

(in other words, if PS5 dies, then Playstation will die, and we'll not gonna have this PS9 due to the lack of games unlike years ago)
