Get Started with Modular D&D Terrain - 5 Things to Build First!

Modular D&D terrain is insanely useful, and is one of the first ways a lot of people get started in crafting. My own magnetic modular D&D tiles and terrain are the result of a lot of experimentation to get a playable result, while making sure I don't sacrifice that realistic look.

I've had a lot of people both thanking me for inspiring them to get started with this style of Modular D&D terrain, and also asking questions about where to find the most up to date versions of each tutorial…because I like to keep making improvements 😄

I might have already built a lot, but plenty of people are just starting with their first dungeon tiles! I might as well keep improving things for their sake :)

The goal of this video is to give a clear guide to what I think is best to make first (even cutting some larger projects down to a manageable size for a beginner), while making it clear what to do and where to go to get the best result. I hope this is helpful!

Everything I use should be linked on the equipment list above, so it's also a library of where to find stuff…

I was literally thinking in my head the whole time, "I wonder how expensive his 3d printer set up is" and then you revealed the foam. Faster, cheaper, easier to manipulate, the tin foil trick, you're a genius bro. This is exactly what I've been trying to find, but didn't even know I was looking for. Thank you

what an useful advice and not just for D&D, even though Warhammer players may not like the grid pattern on the more organic environements (like caves and grasslands) but it's easily avoidable, this goes to my favs :)

I'm probably never going to make terrain for my games, but these videos are enchanting. Making terrain seems like practically a separate hobby, and if I were less busy, I'd be sorely tempted to try it out.

I love to see you create some dessert themed modular tiles. Dunes could be really cool in the stile of the hill terrain

I just wanted to say, I have seen many vids about making terrain and dungeon tiles but was never really inspired. After watching this vid I immediately started building dungeon tiles and walls. You have inspired me, I've watched this vid about 4 times since and am still in awe. You have something special here, keep at it and no doubt you will boom on youtube.

Extremely helpful! Just what I needed, there's always so much to do, so little time, and I always have trouble prioritizing.

This is incredible. I love all your videos (and am a patron), but honestly this jig is very likely to be the secret ingredient that lets me really take off on some of these projects. Thank you! And thank you to the person who came up with the idea!

Those buildings with the bright blue shingles and medieval style make me think of wc3 human structures and that makes me smile.

After seeing everything that you have done with the magnets, I am never going to use sellotape again when mounting tiles and walls together. Your work is amazing.

I've watched every video that is on your channel, as of the time of this comment, and I will DEFFINITELY be revisiting them as I begin building my terrain for gaming.

This is the BEST channel for crafting. Recommended for intermediate level. But after you get a few beginner items under your belts, this is where the Masters live.

Inspiring. I think the fist thing I need to do is magnetize my already existing dungeon tiles, then start on some walls.
