At 9.04 you say that the central bank doesn't have much control over the driving factors of the recent inflation- which of those categories would it have had control over? Surely they do have INDIRECT control over the price levels of these categories?

Hi Geoff .. another very insightful and informative video....just on the current account balance slide, I couldn't see any data for the employee income balance (shaded grey)...is this intentional?

Could you argue that the central bank raising interest rates still has an (admittedly minimal) effect on inflation, as caused by external factors, given the theoretical impact of an appreciation of the exchange rate if the bank rate thus interest rates keep rising?
