If a person is confident about their gender decisions then they won't care if someone misgenders them. It happens to all of us, a clerk is busy and says ma'am instead of sir but I don't care. I know I'm a man. Someone saying ma'am to me doesn't bring up a lot of deep seated questions about myself. If you know who and what you are then it doesn't matter if someone else does or not.

I don't know what led up to this confrontation, and I'm not crazy about this heightened sense of threat that airline employees have. But in the end, if all you're getting from a customer are nonstop accusations, you have no alternative but to get security involved.
