An original called Lurking in the Shadows, this music brings a very eerie and chilling atmosphere, the deep bass hits are the effect of the monsters footsteps. This haunting theme plays to signify the presence of the monster that is hunting the survivors at night. As midnight approaches and heavy rain starts to fall, the weakened survivors continue to journey through Blackwood Forest and find a way out. Pursued by the monster, the survivors start to fear for their lives!

A short story: My feet squished in the mud as a ran in the rain, the chill in the air worsened by the wet droplets. I was running, running from my past, running from my captor. The light dress they gave me did nothing to keep out the cold that bit my skin. However I couldn’t stop, if I stop their lifeless, boney hands would enclose around my forearm and I would have no other chance to escape. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me, I would’ve screamed if I had any breath left. I was surprised, though, when, instead of a bony hand, I felt strong arms envelop me and give me a feeling of warmth I hadn’t felt in so long. I wanted to cry. I wanted to cry because I was happy to be saved but I was also terrified that this was my demise. I felt pleasure from the warmth anyway so when I fainted from exhaustion in this mans arms, I felt a weird sense of protection and blissfully drifted into the darkness.

Eerie Horror Music - "Lurking in the Shadows" (Slow Strings Composition)

My seventh slow strings piece! The idea of this piece is to feel the presence of the midnight monster pursuing the weakened survivors as they hastily continue their journey, in the pouring rain through Blackwood Forest as midnight approaches. The heavy rain effects also signify the weather :)

I really hope you will like this very creepy and eerie piece, I have added a timpani to give off the deep bass kick in the background :)

If you ever are bored and want to do a cover, I highly suggest any music from the RPG Horror Game, 'Ib'. It is one of my favorite games of all time, and the soundtrack is beautiful as it is, though I bet you could make it even better!
