My wife and I were married August 27, 1983. My wedding gift to her that day was a music box that plays "Can't Help Falling In Love". She still has the box and I still have her. She is the love of my life. Thank you Elvis for putting into words what I feel in my heart for her.

In 1961, my family went to Okinawa because Dad, who was in the Army, got stationed there. I was 6 years old. One day, Mom and I went to the Fort Buckner movie theater. Me being 6, I did not know what or who we were watching. Then, seemingly all of a sudden, the "guy" starts singing to his girlfriend's mom. Immediately my ears perked up and my eyes focused on the screen. My attention was locked through the entirety of the song. "Can't Help Falling In Love" became one of my childhood's favorite songs. It still is to this day.
One week ago today, on February 25, 2023, was Mom's funeral. During the service at the mortuary, "Can't Help Falling In Love" was the first of five songs I performed.
In April 2017, I became a professional musician/entertainer. Many times, when performing this song, I would get chocked-up and stumble over the words because I would be thinking of Mom.
Sometime during the early 1970s, Mom went to Lake Tahoe for Elvis in concert. Geez, I never got to go to an Elvis concert. Oh, well.

In 1961 when I was 12 years old I went to the theatre to see Blue Hawaii. I sat it the front row, middle seat and when Elvis sang this song I felt like he was singing it to me. I fell in love with Elvis then and I’m 73 and still love him. He was bigger than life and still is. There will never be anyone like him. Austin Butler was amazing playing Elvis in the movie. While watching it felt like Elvis was back.❤️💜
