One thing I never really took note of is the few times Hermione cast spells without using her wand. She helps Ron during his quidditch meets by whispering into her hand, and also turns the birds on Ron when she's upset at him.

The wand rlly does choose the wizard. Hermione’s wand working is just as intuitive and sharp as she is. I think she wins the Guinness record for quickest “Petrificus Totalus” ever. Even in the dueling practice she stupefied Ron in less than half a second.

Hermione Granger is the heroine who gives heroines a good name; she's intelligent, strong, good-hearted, selfless, and brave. The world needs more women like Hermione. It's a shame she had to be missing in action for the climax of the second film due to being Petrified. Another thing that put me off a little bit is that she didn't get credit where credit is due. After all, she was the one who found out about the Basilisk and uncovered the location of the Chamber of Secrets.
