This video is for the other type of person that is looking to get their finances on track. That person that is the DIY type. Nowadays, there is so much information available to educate yourself with. Yes, yes yes! You touched on all of the points that drove me away from my financial advisor. I'd been asking him for years why we weren't even meeting the market. Only to learned that over 92% of advisors don't meet the market. While I can meet the market with an index fund. Then I learned the true cost of those fees. I was paying my advisor 1%. He had me invested in institutional shares with an expense ration of 0.50, equaling 1.5% total. Those fees were going to cost me 51% of my future growth over the next 30 years. So you have to ask yourself, with a little bit of education can you meet the market? If so, do it yourself.

Not all of us are financial majors. I invest in myself and family. We have over 40 thousand in savings and I don't have to pay an advisor. We will be fine

Great content Christian. I'm currently have investments in Edward Jones, I'm confused about their commission and fees. I recently checked my account and see the fees (management). Now I'm thinking of doing it on my own, now that I have more knowledge about investing. Now the question is how do you "break up" with your financial advisor services and will be difficult to do, I'm concerned that this financial advisor will give me a hard time.
