Hey everybody, it's Katie with Marx Foods. Today I'm going to talk to you about our environmentally friendly palm plates.

They're made from palm leaves, and the big plus is they're biodegradable, compostable, and they're a timber-free resource. These are made from fallen leaves, there's no trees cut down in the process, and because they're made from leaves each has a beautiful & unique pattern. They're all different.

You can use them either indoors or outdoors. You can dress them up or dress them down for a rustic or fancy occasion. They're really popular at weddings and for other special events.

The best part is, you don't have to clean any dishes, you don't have to rent any dishes, and there's no guilt when you get rid of them at the end of the night.

They're light, but they're really durable. They don't buckle easily and they don't get soggy like paper plates do.

There's a huge selection of shapes and sizes, we also have bowls, and it has matching birchwood cutlery, which is also biodegradable and compostable.

Sorry Gaml, just saw this comment, I don't know how it languished here to long! They will not survive the dishwasher.

These plates are intended to be used once. You MAY be able to reuse them in specific circumstances (dry foods for example, where the crumbs can be brushed off), but that's the exception rather than the rule.

I don't really care of the shape of these disposable/compostable plates for me its the sizes and the hardness of these plates that really matter...and they shouldn't go soggy when hot/cold liquidy food is put in.
