"Some nobles say the length of towers matters. Others say it's what you do with it."

cool video! I dont think I heard about this or very very lil. It only reminds me of the 17th century skyscrapers in Yemen (Sana; Bab-al-Yaman) and what you say 'bout Manhattan/NYC Flatiron building etc.

“The length of tower matters, some say it’s how you use it.” Is the best this I’ve heard today😂

It's safe to say that a lot of places that have a distinctive character are often exaggarated in stories for tourists... If you have 50 of something, you would say it's 150

Italy's skyline tells a story not just of architecture, but of identity — where cultural heritage, political shifts, and urban philosophy seem to resist the vertical race that defines so many modern cities. Maybe the real skyscrapers here are history, art, and time itself.

Funny, we think of this as a strange series of events to occur but right now there are conversations all over the world discussing what to do with our sky scrapers now that a majority of the workforce works from home. In fact there was a office tower near me that was recently demolished, it was about 20 stories.

Imagine the wealth and prosperity that must’ve reigned during the Middle Ages in that region to have so many nobles spend their money so lavishly from a lack of real use and necessity, while we look down on the dark Ages.

I lived here for two years, San Gimigniano and then Certaldo Alto, too. both beautiful places. there's a man that recites the divine comedy in original etruscan-italian in San G. every couple days. é bellisimo!

What makes no sense to me is that, no matter how much the city is destroyed or eroded over time, you would still be able to find and see the bases of these towers either remaining on ground level or excavated
