Good afternoon @everyone and welcome back to the stream where Rev, ItsLewb, & Silvis admit they were wrong (AND TOTAL IDIOTS!) There's a lot of confusion about below deck abilities and how they affect damage creation and artifacts. This video hopefully clears up any confusions so that YOU can know how to properly use these features. It's not what you think!

Topics covered:
1. Shoutout to MeMe who proud up the conundrum and issue!
2. Using battlelogs to explain the most effective strategies for below decks hull breach + burning
3. isolytic damage!
4. If you have any game mechanic questions, feel free to drop those questions in the comments!

Thanks for dedicating a video to this, it’s super complicated and I was going to sit in resignation on even attempting to explain this to players!😅

The timing of artifacts effects are true from above or below deck officers. Works the same for both burning and hull breach. And believe it or not their are still other issues with certain ships. I’ll send you my convo with support so you also have their official answer. Sorry this is late comment but just had the time to watch this one.

will scopley ever replace khan shards with jayla shards for swarm sunday or does that make to much sense?

Thank you- that shed some light on those items !

Yeah, I was finding that the isolytic damage wasn't coming effective until the next round or even partially through a round, it was really weird.

I don't see a test where blade of Tkon is proc'ed by the largest ship. So we don't know from these tests if Rev's conclusion is correct ( that the largest ship procs isolytic damage, and the other lesser ships inherit that state ). It may also be that isolytic damage is only done by the ship that procs it.

This just goes to show that those math teachers were telling the truth when they said math was important....

Rev, first I appreciate all the work you put into this, Great Job... One Of the thigs I have been focusing on is the Isolytic Damage.. I find it is different for the ship types that you discussed in this latest Video... For Interceptors you are correct need that Hull breach.. However, For the Explores Isolytic Damage Lives or Dies with Morale... Am I wrong about that ??

I run Sisko(c), Miles, Gorkon for armadas and all interceptors in the armada throw isolytic when Gorkon triggers hull breech. With Torres having 10% chance to trigger, other below decks officers get the spot.

Scopely should fix this. Luv your videos, thanks from Chilly

Thanks Rev, didn't realise that about BDO not applying to other ships, useful to know!

Thanks for this information. This rather seems to be an unintended bug, because it does not match to how hull breach actually is designed to work (affecting the target in general, not the attacker).

So does having her (Torres) on the biggest ship trickle down to all the other ships? Or is it that she only benefits the ship she's on, so you might as well put her on the biggest ship?

I wish scopley backtracks to some of the very very early officers who are just taking up space and give them below deck abilities. Ie PMC, quark NGBEV and other frenegi no need to stat stack but below deck ablities on more old officer would be nice, It is a way for them to pause on new and refresh the old,

Does this apply to lorca and gorkon as well?

I've got all the artifacts to cause Isolytic damage for all ship types and have noticed they dont proc unless you have certain lower deck abilities below deck..scopely should have this fixed in a couple years

Strangest thing to me is that when you had hull breach on the d4, the defiant did have isolytic damage while the pilum did not. The defiant is larger than your d4, so I'm very confused.

Rev u kinda confused me on this.. you seem to be implying that an artifact Isolytic boost on a small ship with B'lanna won't apply to bigger ships, but if B'lannais on the biggest ship does it apply to the smallest? Or is it simply that the artifacts bonus iso dmg only applies to the ship that causes HB?

Please clarify this

I've always thought this about the artifacts. They mention "the ship has..." and to me that would mean it is specific to that ship. So as far as the descriptions are written, they are working as intended.
