Good one! I really don't understand why some people discard hooks after just one use, most of my best fish were caught on 2nd hand hooks 😀 Have you ever tried heating up the vinegar? I know that it works a treat on showerheads 👍

Rust attacks metal and eats into it compromising its strength as does grinding so personally I carry a zip lock food bag with some cooking oil inside so when my session is over the broken and finished with rigs all go inside the bag till I'm ready to build new rigs at home. Better not to get rust on the hooks in the first place. Sorry the thought of maybe losing the Bass of a life time on a snapped hook isn't a chance I'm about to take. Just another way of looking at the problem and not meaning to have a dig at your wonderful channel in any way. Cheers Graham. 
EDIT: Just spotted the Rob Nicholson (should have read the thread DOH!) has already mentioned he does the same, I tend to use cooking oil purely cause its edible and may not leave an oil trace in the water.

I spray bit WD-40 in the rig wallet packets so all metal components never rust.... Just a little tip from me 🎣🎣🎣

Terminal tackle is disposable. Who's got time to waste on bunch of dull, rusted hooks and swivels? I'm switching to all-stainless tackle, the moment the cheap garbage Chinese treble hook becomes rusty, I discard it and replace with proper saltwater hook, if lure works and it's worth doing at all.
