This video changed my life. 26 years old with 5 years of chronic back pain. Tried everything under the sun. It turns out I perceived my 'injury' in a really unhealthy way, and truly believed the my lower back was ruined, despite only having scoliosis and a bulging disc which don't actually cause pain. I spoke to my back as if it were a person who had lost their way. I reassured it that I was going to be okay, and that it didn't need to be so over protective. I never criticised it. I never scalded it. I just guided it towards the right path. My pain is gone. I'm training for a triathlon now. I can sit at a desk all day no worries. This video changed my life. Thank you so much to the team of scientists who created this. Your work is incredible.

Without sounding dramatic, this brief video saved my life from suicide due to my chronic pain issues. Share it with everyone and anyone possible. 🙏

A major nerve was cut during surgery. I was left that way for 8 months waiting approval from insurance company to bury the cut nerve. We must never put a blanket statement about pain. The patient is the best advocate. Doctors need to be trained to recognize crps.

Exactly! 2years 7months ago to the day I burst fractured my L3 cutting party threw my nerve stem. I was classified catastrophic and a paraplegic. The “pain” is tamed! I stopped taking all meds prescribed about 6 months ago and I’m walking without any adds. The power of the human mind is phenomenal. I’m walking a little farther every day. I’m able to walk around 1.5 km a day. The key to it all is knowing yourself, not just body or mind but in ones entirety!

To me this is the "thoughts and prayers" version of pain management. I have real pain. And it negatively affects my already unstable mental health. I'm extremely depressed because I have been in pain for so long. My depression is so bad that I'm barely holding on and flirting with suicidal thoughts. And it is SO HARD. I've actively fought my depression for 25 years and now, on top of the weight and hopelessness and self-blame of depression, I'm being told if I just turn that frown upside down, my pain, regardless of cause, will be better. I know I'm paraphrasing and you probably will deny that this is what you said. I don't deny that. But what I heard and how I interpreted it is explained in this post.

This video was suggested to me by my neck physical therapist that I had an intake with last week. He saw how many providers I see and what I’m dealing with and went straight to this type of education. This video brought me to tears. I’m SO grateful content like this exists and I feel less lonely and more connected than I have in too long. Thank you.

Never let chronic pain (now called persistent pain) get out of hand as it can absolutely rule your life. Lorimer Moseley has helped me like no other with this problem. He has many excellent good videos on YT which clearly describe this latest approach to chronic pain. Remember that pain is learned, and that it can stubbornly remain for years after an initial physical injury has healed.

My disability advocate showed me this today and I am going to begin my journey in pain management with this now. I am beyond grateful for all her words and this video, I have been given a new hope. I have been struggling so much, and it was starting to seem like I could never move forward. Having many "uncurable" diganosis', many leaving me feeling down and defeated.
Maybe I can now.
Thank you.

It's safe to conclude, we still understand very little about pain.
What about arthritis?
What about nerve pinch?
What about sciatica?!

And dislocated joints that re-dislocate?!
And!!!

Well... you get the message: the case on "pains" is far from closed!
Life is also all just in our minds, but that truck that we didn't see coming still has huge effects on the life that is just "all in our minds." I foresee many people getting the wrong message with, "pain is all in our minds, " is all I am saying....

But, obviously. This is like saying 'if you're less bothered by your depression, it'll affect your life less & you'll be less depressed', well, yeah because depression and pain are all about how life-altering they are. People with low-level pain, or a brain that doesn't exaggerate pain stimuli, are going to be less bothered by it.

This information changed my life for the better. I am incredibly grateful for my pain specialist sending me in this direction. I went from not being able to walk 25 meters to having a nearly full active lifestyle.

I was just introduced to the concept of pain psychology and the psychologist I spoke with recommended this video to me. My mind is blown. I can relate to many of the things mentioned and now I have the option to take a new approach. Thank you for doing the research and making this video.

The hardest part is to ignore todays posture epidemic. Sitting with my chin tucked in and as upright as possible doesn't help at all, it only makes my trapezius a thousand times more tense. Yet, I cannot shake the feeling that it must be my posture that causes my pain. It's just what society tells us, but some things cannot be explained that easily. Eye opener!

Well now I’m confused. I got sent to this video by a specialist after being told there were actually physical issues, but seemingly no real treatment to stop the pain 🤔 this seems like it’s saying there’s no physical reason for the pain, wtf

Basically telling you that pain is all in your head & if you don't think about it then it's not there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Invalidating people's pain feelings 🤨

Another subtle message to say it's all in our heads imo

Watching this video makes me feel like my pain isn't valid and their is no real reason for it. Added with the mental weight from the injury makes me feel like a crazy person.
