In this doom metal guitar lesson I teach you the entire rhythm section from Vinum Sabbathi by Electric Wizard, a classic track from the Dopethrone record. The song is broken down into its main riffs, each demonstrated and explained in full detail.

The song is played in the key of Bb Minor and it's riffs utilize elements from the Bb Natural Minor Scale {R, M2, b3, p4, p5, b6, b7} along with bends up to the Flat 5th, b5, and the Major 7th, M7.

The guitar is tuned to Bb Standard: Bb - Eb - Ab - Db - F - Bb

You are the best thing on YouTube, my friend. I would love to get a lesson for Death is the Communion, or some Weedeater. I'd also love it if you did a little musical eduction - a lesson or two about music theory and how it can be applied to doom would be killer. It's an area I really want to want to learn more about, Would also love to get deeper education on amps, how they work, and what to look for when buying. Same for pedals - the reviews you do are sweet, but would be awesome to hear you do something comparative, to help decide which one(s) to purchase based on what the sound one is trying to get. All that said, though - love what you are doing!

Have you thought about maybe trying some Acid Bath? Like maybe “The Blue” or “Graveflower”? They really were a great band that unfortunately called it quits. Still love them to this day!🤘🏽⚜️... Keep killin it dude.. great job!
