This was already a favorite channel of mine, then you mixed in the booze and you actually know what you’re doing. I spent ten years behind the bar, it’s awesome to see you enjoy the craft.

That's impressive. 🙂 My first day, I knocked over an entire tray of food ( thankfully after service so it was extra/ leftovers)

You and I kinda have the same background. I fell in love with cooking went to school got my sous chef cert, taught classes, worked at a bunch of restaurants couldn’t handle the toxicity of the work place. Still enjoyed cooking for my loved ones got into mixology. Now I bartend making craft cocktails and I have so much fun doing it

“Bartending is not easy” but it is when you’re using a precision scale

Craft cocktail intersects with cooking in so many fashions. If you’re interested in some great foundational knowledge I can email a few educational modules from a book my team made for mixology programs.
Also recommend reading a book called liquid intelligence. It transformed my bar program and is the most valuable piece of literature I’ve ever read when it comes to crafting drinks
At the end of the day the only thing you can’t be taught is how to have a palate and based off of your cooking videos yours is awesome already
Great video man and good luck!

I do bartending with my own mobile bar. we travel to where ever we’re booked, set up and get it going. this one time we had a major event and me and 2 coworkers of mine easily banged out 550 cocktails in about 6 hours. shit‘s so stressful but damn it’s fun

I just clicked on it, because I thought the lemon press was a bong and that you impressed your date with your sick bong pull

Bartending and more importantly mixology is such a huge part to the gastronomical experience. U can play with herbs and spices and flavors just as u would in cooking. Not sure I’ve had a drink with raw egg yolk, the whites yes, but not yolk. But then again if u can have egg nog then I guess this works too

Looking spectacular in those spectacles, Sir! 🤓 Here I am dreaming of the “creaminess” the yolk adds to a beverage.

0:31 to chill the glasses faster put club soda with the ice in the glass. looks like you might not have a soda gun so probably not the ideal way, but something you can use later if you’re ever bartending and they have a soda gun.

How do you get gigs like this? Like how do you get to cook for private events and now bartend with no expierence in what seems like a nice place? Is it just connections?

I would love to learn bartending because I KNOW that shit is hard😭the restaurant I used to work at had the BEST cocktails and now every time I get drinks anywhere else I'm so disappointed so I'm interested to know what kind of voodoo they have to be so good at the craft
