Famicom RGB mod - For That Most Beautiful Video Quality

This is a RGB mod for the original Famicom. The original Famicom only outputs RF signal and as all of you old retro gamers know, that's super low quality. But with this RGB mod you get the best quality, it becomes amazingly beautiful.

The mod itself is pretty easy, the hard part is desoldering the PPU and that can be very, very tricky.

Thanks for the video it's much appreciated. I just finished doing this exact same mod on this exact same console, and the directions on the original site where you buy the mod aren't exactly what I would call "detailed", so this video came in helpful SO many times.

Everything went great by the way but I'm still not finished with the console, I've gotta make the controllers detachable, and make the first player controller wireless. After that it'll finally be finished. It's by far the most demanding console mod I've done by a long shot but I love the way it looks and I'd rather have the Famicom on display instead of the VCR looking American NES.

Hey friend. Did the mod came with the new power board? And the scart cable for the mini din-8 connector? Thanks

Hey bro! thanks for the video. Super helpful. Where is the RF/Power board from? It doesn't appear to be in the kit on the either website? I live in HK so they all have third party RF/Powerboards made to adapt the NTSC famicoms to PAL50! Thanks

Very nice work. You don't see a lot of the original Famicoms being RGB modded but how are you able to use NES controllers? Did you make that female cable for that Famicom?

Nice one. It looks to me like your iron is set to a temperature that is too low. I also recommend you first heat the pad or leg for 1-2 second, and only then add solder, not to the iron tip but to the pad or leg itself, and for the bits that are harder than others, don't hesitate to use more flux.
