Historically, when a truthful scandal first starts rolling and a public figure goes into hiding to avoid discussing it, we eventually learn that the initial accusations are just the tip of the iceberg. Surely no rational person believes that this justice, who has consistently referred to as his best friend, never discussed these matters with her. She has rabidly used every connection her status as wife of a SC justice to further her cause, but not the man she eats dinner with and sleeps beside every night? IMO we probably haven't heard the worst of this yet. I fully expect that there is another ”shoe” waiting to drop.

Decades ago, Anita Hill informed the nation about Clarence Thomas' recklessness. She was basically 'dismissed'. The system over the years has rewarded this entitled coward (and many like him) with all sorts of goodies because of his production value, thus enabling him to maintain the false front. If we want people to be held accountable, then good character needs to be the currency in this world.

In my state if a prisoner has family members employed at the state penitentiary in a guard or other capacity such prisoner is sent to a different facility. Why? Conflict of interest pro or con. Period.

Whether Thomas knew of his wife's text messages or not, he knew she was at the rally and should have recused himself. It sounds fishy that he was the only contrary vote.
