I saw them install that kind of system on an episode of Ask This Old House and fell in love with it. If i have an opportunity to actually own a house that has a wrap around porch that is going on it.

The new railings do look nice, but personally i prefer the old railing, it matched better with the actual stairs. not my house so if you like it you do it :)
