Plus, the beautiful Durham Museum, Laurentzen Gardens, Mormon Trail Museum and the life size beautiful statues downtown depicting the wagon train and pioneers, buffalo, trail boss, geese flying over a pond. It goes on for a couple blocks. We live in Iowa but have visited all of these several times when coming down to Omaha for doctors visits or a day out. We have eaten at Spaghetti Works many times with family and friends.

A little more info about some of your points of interest from a local.
Bob Kerry was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions as a Navy SEAL during the Vietnam War. He lost part of a leg during the battle.
Technically, Gerald Ford was not born in Omaha, Leslie King, Junior was. His parents divorced when he was a few months old. His mother moved back to Grand Rapids, Michigan and eventually married Gerard Ford. Mr. Ford adopted the baby and his name was changed to Gerald R. Ford.

You hit a lot, missed tons. There's a troll under one of the bridges downtown, we call that pedestrian bridge "The Bob", Nebraska furniture Mart, . Stinson Park where AkSarBen horse racing track was, Durham, how big the Med Ctr/Clarkson campus is, and the fan favorite Ted & Wally's ice cream...

For those saying Joslyn museum, isn't it closed for another remodel?

You have to come back for the zoo and Western Heritage Museum. You can get all the history you want in one visit to this museum that is inside the original train station.

Havana Garage is where people go for a drink and cigar. 😉The VM is V. Mertz which is an amazing restaurant. Mutual of Omaha is in process of bldg new 44-story HQ downtown. Thanks for visiting!

You missed our Zoo, Omaha also hosts the College World Series, this is the home of Warren Buffet and last but not least Nebraska Mart one of the world's largest furniture stores established by Rose Blumpkin.

You need to tour the Joslyn Castle, you missed so much of the true history of the house. Mrs Joslyn would go up on the widow walk because she could see the River and River boats and ships from up there. My son was a ground keeper there through high school. Definitely go back to the botanical garden, take the tram tour, it's totally worth it.

You, sadly, really missed some of the the larger, world wide known attractions of Omaha like BOYS TOWN, JOSLYN ART MUESUM & THE HENRY DOORLY ZOO. Omaha has a lot more to offer than most realize. On your next visit maybe you can get the places you missed❤
