Fun fact: During the battle, the Captain of the HMS New Zealand, John Green, wore a tiki necklace and a Maori kilt called a Piu-piu. They were gifts from a Maori chief when the ship had visited New Zealand. He told Green that as long as he wore them into battle, the ship wouldn't be harmed. New Zealand ended up being the only one of Beatty's Battlecruisers to not take any serious hits and didn't suffer a single casualty!

Imagine being a guy in a village on the Danish coast and just seeing the entire German fleet driving by. You'd be pissing your pants.

WW1 is so underated, specially the navy battles. Also that cliffhanger with the Bismark was awesome!

To be fair, the Germans tried one last major attack at the end of the war, which caused the German Revolution to begin which you mentioned, so Good Video!

Ngl the Davy Jones' locker part could've used the Mongol fleet that sunk twice to a storm lol. Aside from that minor nitpick it's 10/10. OH also the little seagull at the end on top of the lost sailor was so adorable. Well done!

Wanna know something maybe something a little poetic? The Invincible (The oldest battlecruiser in the battle) Got destroyed by the Lützow (The newest battlecruiser in the battle) but because of the heavy damage the Invincible did was why it was scuttled later.

Just watched this video, I loved every second of it. I love all the small details like the names of the ships on the sailors caps. Jutland may not have changed much but it really is interesting to learn and read about. Also shout out to the Warspite who survived Jutland, then fought during WWII and was the first ship to fire her guns on D-Day. Again absolutely gorgeous video, keep up the amazing work!

11:46 I'd very much like to know more on this story about the Wiesbaden sinking and the story or the sole survivor from it please? Where were you able to find deep info on this?

Battle Cruisers aren't a midsize ship type dude😂
And not every light Cruiser is faster than a battle Cruiser!

12:36 no no no no

You need to think of it as a campaign not won the war therefore won the battle

Actually SMS Seydlitz hit the ocean bottom due to progressive flooding caused by damage inflicted by the RN. That counts as sunk and later salvaged.
The Bismarck, bah, the most over rated, over hyped, over excused Battleship ever. A ship which which exceeded the treaty limits by a massive 20% yet failed to achieve the superiority that oath breaking should have bestowed. Her only claim to fame a galaxy level lucky shot against a ship 20 years older in desperate need of a refit.
If given the chance to select a WW2 Battleship to fight a battle with, Bismarck would be the bottom of my list.
