This animation is made from a collection of static analyst maps and represents my interpretation of the movements of armies and frontlines. Therefore, it should be viewed as an approximation rather than an exact depiction.

The numbers represent the aproximate troops count for both sides. It's based on multiple sources, neither of which claim to know the accurate numbers.

Various channels (since our ultimate goal is the same, I wont name them) have been taking my videos and re-using them without asking me, nor giving me any credits. Therefore, I have added my YT link in the video itself, which was the last thing I wanted to do - since it pollutes the video itself. But since there seems to be little to no ethics between YouTube authors, even some individual Reddit authors, and TikTok, so be it. It's a small unintrusive inclusion, which I hope wont detract from the video itself.

I think the reason Russian response was so slow was because they didn't wanna divert their troops from Donbass that were doing offensives on their own, and I guess they simply didn't expect a full on incursion unlike in belgorod. which ever way you wanna put it, Ukraine must hold on to these advances if they hope to have any leverage in the peace conference (implying if that ever happens)

Important note, those Russian "counterattacks" are a consequence of the fact that the previous maps showed the all activity of Ukrainian sabotage units whose activity was reported in certain areas as complete control, however, the Russians essentially held those areas
