I'm very confused about what all the complaining is about. You've all been told they are taking summer break so nothing big is gonna happen until they get back. They've stated that they are focusing on fixing bugs and functionality and its going to take time. They asked the community if they should slow down and focus on that rather than content releases and the community said they wanted that (and there have been improvements although, granted, not everything has been fixed). Now everyone is complaining that there is no content to play and it's a dead game....

You can't have everything people. The success of the game was unexpected and was enhanced by further hype. A concurrent player base of 20k-50k+ is not dead. Dead by Daylight, a game that has been out for 8 years or something at this point, and was very bare bones at the beginning is still seeing success and content and updates and events regularly and it sits somewhere between 24k-45k or something depending on release and with BIG updates like resident evil, it skyrockets for a while but inevitably drops down. It only get major dlc and every 3 months (but they do have challenges and events in between). they have also had 8 years to grow. they did not die. all the doom and gloom from this community is exhausting. Devs have already said, if you are burnt out, play something else. It's ok. This does not have to be your one and only game. EVEN if the major orders fail consistently (which I don't think they will because there is a devoted fanbase who enjoy the gameplay) but IF it happens, humanity doesn't just lose and the servers die and the game ceases to exist. Just relax. Their holiday is almost up.

hd2 decline in players is normal, for alot of the players it is summer and on top of that the game has passed its hype phase, this isnt a game as a service this is a cooperative horde shoooter 1st and a game as a service second, one thing that will definitely help the game would be to make more weapons viable in higher difficulties bacause at the moment the breaker incindiary is the defacto KING of primaries and is getting a little stale, the best thing to do is exactly as the devs said, go play something else if you are bored and come back later

Why are the people freaking out over the state of the game ? The devs are mostly on vacation, things will speed back up once they've all recharged their batteries and are back to their post. Things will speed back up, and if they make interesting content, people will come back to play some more

Player numbers have been helldivers youtubers favorite dead horse to beat in order to pad time for their videos. Honestly sick of hearing it at this point. Either give us actual news or just shut up. Its so tiring when every video has alive minute segment about player numbers.

Won’t lie but major orders just feel pointless when your maxed out on medals and no new stratagems come with it it’s just not worth it

A great addition to keep the current weapons from getting stale and buried under the “meta” would be to allow us to upgrade the weapons in tiers like the ship modules, ie. the liberator gets used for a while (either xp or kills to a cap) then you can use req slips and samples to upgrade it increase the stats slightly to make it feel useable in the next bracket of difficulty then tier 2-3 upgrade and it’s on par for level 9 helldive, make us earn a strong weapon and you’ll see a balanced variety that fits everyone’s play style and keep players playing

Had 550+ hours. Not played in over 2 weeks. Having a blast on The First Descendant as there's just so much to do. But, I'll be back on HD2 when Illuminate arrive. Or they fix damn social being broken.

People are really over estimating the power of double A games. Everyone expects a lot from live service games ever since cod and fortnite essentially ruined the experience of new content. I still enjoy helldivers as an instant action, kill some shit game and I don't find myself getting bored of it. On the other hand, I have no idea what goes on in the studio or why they make the changes they do, while also disliking some of those changes. Personally, I didn't enjoy what was in the viper commanders warbond, but I enjoyed what they were going for. Personally, I'd rather any game dev focus on fixing and changes things already in the game than add stuff just to appease those who like the "new and shiny"

I'm going to be honest and I hope I don't offend anybody but the devs deserve to have their break and I think for what they gave us we should be patient enough to let them have that break and know that great things are coming when they return
