Classic example of “Don’t start nuthin’, won’t be nuthin’.”

Yeah the British had to travel 8000 miles, but the Argentinians had a tougher time. They had to fight the British.

Forgot to mention the helicopter's that targeted the sub with a missile going through the sail of the sub and it also having a few hundred rounds put into it by the machine gunners in the helicopters.

The book Sea King Down by Mark Aston he was a SAS soldier took part in the Falklands war from start to finish one of the best books I’ve read on the subject by a country mile

I had never heard of the Indian annexation of Goa in 1961 until the Falklands. Too bad that the Argentinians thought the Portuguese were the same as the British.

This is missing the best story of how a young lieutenant and a small unit of Royal marines held off an invasion force shooting down a helicopter and hitting a corvette forcing it to run out of the surrender was inevitable when the ship returned and started shelling the British the young officer offered to surrender on condition that the rules of Genevieve convention would be honoured the reply was " yes please" the men became known as the " Mills Marauders"
The submarine was attacked and damaged by missiles from a helicopter making it unable to and sank along side in the recapture of south Georgia saw some amazing helicopter incidents and crashes in an attempt to attack the Argentine forces from behind ( high mountain and glacier) the full frontal attack with gunfire from HMS Plymouth ( I believe) shook them up and they gave the story from waiting to be invaded to being liberated is well worth

15x GDF-002 35mm anti aircraft twin guns were captured during the Falklands War along with six Skyguard and one Super Fledermaus FC Radar. The RAF Regiment set up a squadron using them which my dad was in based at RAF Waddington.

A battalion of marines and a squad of 101st took the island by storm. I can say proudly. I was one of them.

The one causality was Felix Artuso, a Argentine, who was mistakenly thought to be destroying the Sante Fe after capture. Felix Artuso was buried in the Grytviken Cemetery, near Ernest Shackleton, with full military honours.

I expect better from the Imperial war museum. I was one of the Antarctic Survey base personnel present. The scrap merchants were never expelled. The UK ambassdor to BA and his military attache countermanded plans to do so. Carrington backed the Foreign Office's prevarications. The article's timeline of events concerning the Santa Fe, her activities, how she was discovered and how she was disabled is also significantly incorrect compounded by a number of important omissions, referred to by other commentators.I suggest you read Roger Perkins book Operation Paraquat, authorized by the MoD. (There is no written reference to the original name Paraquet, and everyone referred to it as Paraquat, a proprietry weed killer. Promulgating the name Paraquet was a later piece of over sensitive politically correct near rewriting of history.) Damien Sanders.

We almost lost the Falklands 🇫🇰 but with the same tenacious spirit we forced them to surrender. Because Maggie wasn't about to let go of them anytime soon. RIP TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVEN'T MADE IT BACK

So you've spelled it 'Paraguet' in the title and pronounced it 'Paraquat'. I'll give you the second because that's what we all called it, but it was actually Op 'Paraquet'! IWM is meant to have the experts!

Notice that the Journalist taken from the task force pool, does not get mentioned historically.
The Internet of partial things and books that miss things out. Events become lost in history that is how it can happen.
