How to Pause Starlink Internet Service

As far as I can tell, the "pause" feature is only available for "Mobile" service plans. They are "MOBILE - REGIONA" and "MOBILE - GLOBAL". I have the STANDARD residential plan. It seems to activate "pause" in an effort to save money; I would have to spend more money each month for the ability to have the "pause" capability. There is a warning on their service portal: by switching to a Mobile plan, you may not be able to change back to Standard at your service address. Seems more like a threat or future retaliation clause. Also, if you cancel service, there is a warning you may not be able to reactivate if demand in your area has reached capacity. Maybe both warnings are saying the same thing; all is predicated on your area's subscriber capacity. I wonder if Starlink changes its tune once Amazon's "Starlink" is fully operational? A little competition may be good for the corporate soul.

They've already removed this pause button. Can't have people stopping service conveniently, have to make a ticket now and track it for weeks.

Do you need to be connected to your Starlink connection in order for it to be paused or can you do it when the Starlink equipment is stowed?

Can the residential service be paused or only the roam service? Is this for the US and Canada?

So do I need to upgrade from residential to roam to pause? In some months fiber may be available to me, would like to keep this as a back up. If I can't do that and end up cancelling service, can it be turned back on if needed with everything I have still in place?

How does billing work if you have been paused for several months, then un-pause, then pause again, in the same monthly billing cycle? The idea is to turn Starlink on and off only during short periods of time during the monthly billing cycle, such as for short camping trips.

Lets say I un-pause on October 4th. Will I get Oct 4 - Nov 1 or Oct 4 - Nov 4? Trying to figure out if it is monthy in the sense of calendar months or monthly in the sense of 1 month meaning 30 days after unpausing

Does pausing service pause your billing? Is it pro-rated by day or just month? E.g. If you use Starlink for 3 days in a month is it billed as a month?

Ok. so please help me here. I am at a loss here. For today day and age. You would think. being able to email for inquiries would be simple. But nope! Need to be an account holder to be able to create a ticket. Frustrating. Ok. So I plan on getting the service at the cottage. Being we live in canada. Sometime during winter. The cottage wont see anyone for x amount of months. Are you able to pause the internet for x amount of months and pick up in spring type deal? Is there costs?
