Creating a mirror effect in SketchUp - Skill Builder

Follow along as we use native tools only to create a mirror effect inside of SketchUp.

I was so focused and didn't even bothered reading the title, because i was in a hurry to find out how to create a mirror effect material. After the end of the video i laughed because this was a great and faster idea, and way easier compared to adjusting materials in asset editor. Thanks! Will be using this techniques.

Definitely a cool trick. I’ve been working on a conceptual model this week which has 2 long walls of mirrors and wanted have reflections of the opposite side of room in them.

That's a cool effect, Aaron, thanks! I'm going to try it with a surface in the frame painted with a material that is mostly transparent, to suggest a less perfect reflective surface. Keep thinking outside the box, my friend!

A great trick is to use it for the reflections on the floor as well. You could have even put the reflection for the TV for an even more immersive experience.

Funny thing, I'd had the same idea some yeras ago and I've been using this method ever since. It just din't occur to me to turn the mirrored in into a component, which is a cool idea. I also didin't know how to share on Youtube like Eric did. Thanks, Eric!

I think that missed something at the end, because I can see that the mirror has a oppacite, but it was amazing . A mirror at sketchup it's fantastic.
