The Russians will never tell the emperor that he has no clothes.

I think it’s time to abandon the “Putin Genius” narrative. Him being “out of the loop” is just a way to keep that narrative alive.

He's done this total destruction plan at least twice before. Grozny and Aleppo. And he's ordering it for Mariupol now. He's not unaware of what he's doing. Indeed, I think saying he lacks intel is letting him off.

He had an hour long conversation with the French president. That would have brought him up to speed with reality!

This is what happens to every ruler-by-fear, eventually.

Regardless of being out of the loop or not - HE's in charge. HIS responsibility. Period.

This situation perfectly mimics the plight of the Japanese Emperor Toyotomi Hideyoshi, when he invaded Korea in 1592. No one dared tell the truth out of fear. Putin's fate should be similar, as there is nothing new under the sun. Putin faces the same fate of almost all narcissist rulers.

I bet he knows everything. He just wants to push the blame of war crimes on his officers.

Must be hard for Putin’s generals to be honest with him….when they’re all dead 💀! ❤️🇺🇦❤️

Nice interview. The comparison to Winston Churchill is deeply respectful. Even if you dislike Churchill to whatever degree (he was after all a true Imperialist), we never forget that his name exemplifies heroism and triumph against great adversity.
Zelynski is such a man too. It can't be overstated.

Indeed, Ukraine's fightback has been nothing short of a miracle. I usually don't pray, but I do every night for their success and safety.

This is what Insurrectionist Trump said about the invasion of Ukraine: “I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful." Yes, he called the invasion "wonderful." Yet the GQP still considers this madman its leader.

What some Russian expert said: His generals would probably remove him before they would tell him the truth.

Curious who’s going to tell him they’re out of sugar? Straight to Siberia for that poor soul
