Good. So the old man got a lesson from his youngest son. "You may be powerful and have supernatural abilities, but you don't have the natural abilities to love, forgive and respect your duries towards your family."

These sages are so called because they are powerful, not because they are wise.

Sages... Some of the worst and most willfully insane crimes in the epic are committed by these "sages"

So celebrating a man's lack of patience such that he orders his sons to kill their own mother. The only thing that I could learn from it: don't do everything your parents say, use your brain.

I thought Renuka saw Gandharvas and admired their splendour for a bit too long so that the unfired clay pot she had with her (which never disintegrated as long as she never had any impure thoughts while doing her task) disintegrated so that she couldn't bring water for her Jamdagni who then knew she was thinking lewd thoughts about the Gandharvas thus became so angry he asked his sons to kill their mother -Parshurama being the only son who complied (no consequence to the sons who refused). Also Renuka was much older than depicted in your video (like her husband's age) I thought

There is option called counseling and forgiveness, beheading their own mother that to be ordered by own father is something called insanity.

So basically Parashuran was the abused child of a narcissistic father. He was good at predicting what his dad would do next.

Please... The great sage had mastered the Vidya of Kundalini raising through seven Chakras. He had taught this to Sri Parasurama and to wife Renuka. But Renuka had able to bring it upto Neck, Vishdhi chakra. Since she deferred withe act. Hence beheading and removing Agni energy from Renuka.
Your story is not complete. I am descendant of that family.

All of you have posted unwise comments without proper understanding of this sequence of events. Sage Jamadagni is one of the 7 Maharishis of the Saptharishi Group. The lessons to be learnt here are
1. Complete obdience of your elders regardless.
2. Concentration on your task at hand
3. Putting others well-being before self
4. Selflessness and faith

Another boon that Parshurama asked of his father is that his mother and brothers be freed from their guilt of disobeying her husband and their father respectively. This has not been brought out in this vdo.

That's not the Truth, The Truth is she did go to fetch water but she watched the guy bathing and had LUST in her Thought's when she returned to give her old husband the water he saw that she was glowing and in great thought thinking about that bloke he read her mind, which caused him to be angry and jealous That's why he asked his sons to behead her, then the youngest one who loved both his father and mother he brought his mum back. Teaching his father Forgiveness !❤

Both father and son should be punished. In Greek mythology they would be.
