Nice video about futures. Since you have sound knowledge about options (which very few actually have), I would recommend that the best approach going forward would be to blend futures and options trading together to make consistent and "high probability" returns (i.e. synthetic trading). Went from futures to options. I work fulltime so trading futures in prime time is out of the question. With options I can still do setups on breaks and lunch. Has been going awesome!

This is the video I needed. I've come to the same conclusion about futures. Eighty percent of the moves happen overnight in futures market. The regular market hours are usually window dressing. And you're right, the charts are easier to trade.

Brad: I switched from Forex for Futures - specifically the E-Micro S&P Futures. I'm soo glad I did. There are similarities to Forex, like being able to trade 24 hours per day and you can short it. What I absolutely love is being to take 10 contracts (worth $50 per contract), stack them so that 1 very small point move is equal to $50. My Goal: earn 100 contracts this year so that 1 small point is now worth $500. Imagine taking 5 minutes or less on a good trade to earn that. Wow! You can put $5, 000 in your brokerage account to work with 100 contacts, but doesn't feel as uplifting as earning them with disciplined effort.

Interesting take Brad. Been trading futures for decades. Best advice to make a small fortune in the futures market is to start with a large one. Seriously though, I think futures are not for new traders. Liquidity and leverage are great. Markets can move fast though. Micros feel like a cash grab. Fees and commissions are so high relative to the tick value. Love the channel. Good luck.

Honestly I cant confirm… self employed scalping options for 2 years now. I use the /ES to chart and trade SPY. And trading TSLA. 2 tickers is all I need.

Your getting there, now convert your timeframe charts to tick charts, 2000 & 10000 tick charts for both /es and /nq…prints price action only and your couple indicators still plot. Use 10k for overall trend and 2k for entry/exit.

I’m learning futures trading from an older gentleman that’s been trading for 40 years. And futures trading is SOOO EASY to understand, make money, set profit and loss margins. You won’t really make big money unless you take big risks but couple hundred dollars here and there is definitely possible with a low risk

I hope people watch youtube just for perspective ... Id hate to see traders following a new futures trader and wondering why they lost money. Dont let someones hype shape your expectations. If you have a poor fundamentals in options i would correct that first instead of switching products because you dont like certain functions of options. They are different tools ... it depends on your preference which tool suits you. Trust me, when people flock and lose their shirts off their backs things will change.
