3 way toggle switch explained

How to know which lug to solder to when wiring in a 3 way toggle switch to your guitar.

He got it totally wrong. The two in the middle are ground.

Excellent video... cheers from Toronto....I have an Epiphone Dot 3 with a 3 way Toggle switch. In the Middle position, before, I THINK Both the Bridge and Neck were turned on and I could adjust Both Volumes.
Now, in the Center position, the Neck one stays Off, until I slightly open the Bridge Volume!
Is this the norm??? Please advise. Thanks.

Thank you! The toggle switch on my EVH Wolfgang is acting up. I took it out and it is exactly like this one. Anyway, I sprayed it with contact cleaner but it is still cutting out on me. Are they temperamental or finicky at all? The guitar is only two months old.

Can i use this switch for 3 Pickups? you know, like neck pickup, middle pickup and Bridge pickup

Thank you sir !!! I'm using 4-conductor pickup wire with red and green for either of the pickups, white to the input jack, bare to the ground and the black is extra which I've taped off. Is 4-conductor pickup wire okay to use or is the gauge too small ? The reason I'm using it is because I bought a Chibson and the original wire was too short, and it looks like they used almost the same gauge of wire, maybe a little thicker. I was just wondering if the signal to the switch from the pickups will be strong enough ? Thanks

but HOW TO WIRE IT SO THAT THE MIDDLE POSSITIONS TURNS BOTH PICKUPS OFF!??? that answer can't be found, been search for 6 days straight.
