The 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix was yet another race that did not go well for championship leader Max Verstappen. He spent a significant portion of the race fighting Lewis Hamilton, eventually having contact with him. This along with the fiery back and forth on the radio with his race engineer has led to some criticizing Max for losing his cool. He has now responded

Max’s Strongly Worded Response For Hungary Critics

Max started off by making his thoughts clear about those who criticized his radio messages

“I see a lot of comments from people who say ‘you are too frustrated, you went too far in your comments, that you disrespect the team’.”

“They can all fuck off”

He then highlighted how some found him to be at fault for moving under braking in Austria

“I got a lot of shit thrown at me in Austria with people saying moving under braking, blah blah blah”

“I am positioning my car on the initial movement and then I keep it straight”

He signed off by suggesting that Lewis was at fault in Hungary which is what led to the crash

“[In Hungary, Lewis], under braking just kept turning to the right and that is why I also locked up”

“I was going for the move, but I saw the car on the outside kept coming at me”

“Otherwise, we would’ve already crashed before. I had to stop the car so that is why I locked up”

F1’s most recent race winner Oscar Piastri feels that “the shoey is Danny Ric’s thing”

“I’m going to get roped into it because I’m an Aussie, but I don’t know. I’ll try and think of something new”

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton feels that the incident with Max Verstappen “was a racing incident”

“I’m really happy to be back on the podium and for another solid points haul”

“We now head to Spa looking to finish the first half of the season on a high.”

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez revealed that the “team had to rebuild the car overnight and it was not one hundred percent on set-up”

“So, it’s positive I was able to feel at one with the car [in the race] and I am getting the feeling back”

“[Finishing 7th after starting in 16th] is a good boost of confidence”

For RB’s Daniel Ricciardo, it was “more frustrating because [they] were quick all weekend”

“I felt like we have taken ourselves out of the race so early [by pitting early from mediums to hards]”

“We couldn’t fight cars that were coming much quicker on newer tyres [later in the race]”

Teammate Yuki Tsunoda, meanwhile, is “very relieved [he] was able to make up for it after [Saturday’s] crash by finishing in the points”

Max was taught from a young age to never show weakness. That's an old school approach that's sort of out of step with the rest of the modern field. I don't expect him to change and see it as his Achilles Heal. No one will want to work with him if he keeps this up.

Max absolutely losing it now that he has to win the constructor's by himself in a car that's not the best on the grid. Also even as a Red Bull fan, Max makes the same excuse everytime he makes contact with anyone ESPECIALLY Lewis. Saying it was their fault. Even though Max locked up gping into the turn trying to pass Lewis, while knowing Lewis already started his turn in and knowing for damn certain Lewis wasn't just gonna give up the position to him. Max has become a tantrum throwing baby since Red Bull won't do anything to stop him outta fear he'll leave for another team especially Mercedes. Also it's widely known Max makes more defensive moves than any other F1 driver when defending his race position, there's literally tons of footage to prove it.

Whether we agree with Max or not, he's providing insane entertainment to the sport. After the Seb vs LH rivalry, we haven't seen things get consistently spicy since Max started winning.

Lets be real here....he didn't "just" lock up....he locked up while trying to dive bomb know, that move he did to everyone he could when he first came into F1, and complains about everyone else doing to him.

Max is a solid example of a sociopath, which is a mental health problem. The problem was created and nutured by his father. It continually shows in his emotionally aggressive outbursts - he's incapable of being calm in tense situations. Also shows in his fake calmness out of the car, and his driving actions - red mist with desperate overtake and defending mistakes. Just like Mika Hakkinen, Max is one of the fastest drivers F1 has ever seen, but nothing like Mika in regards to mental strength / EQ. In Max's mind he always finds a way to justify his actions and blame others. That's what sociopaths do.

Hamilton is clearly not going to win the WDC this year. Maybe Lewis should just do all he can to prevent Max from winning just to fuck with him, Try to slow him down, create "Race Incidents, Get in his way." etc. Lewis would never do it, but it would be funny to see how pissed Max would get when he realized what was going on,
