The Earth is surrounded by dangerous objects. Cosmic bodies, like asteroids and comets, constantly zoom through space and often crash into our planet. The majority of these are too tiny to pose a threat, but some can be cause for concern.

I witnessed a meteor the size of a small car fly by just above the treetops, traveling almost parallel to the ground. That was about 25 years ago. It produced red, yellow, green and blue flames as it was passing above me. We went looking for it after looking on Google Earth to get a rough estimate to where it could have landed. My uncle, God rest his soul found it first. They're to the East side of a two-track off the main road. It landed about 23 miles away from where I was when I spotted it one night heading home. It's huge, the size of a Volkswagen. There are 4 of them, all pretty close to each other. The other three are about the size of a cook stove. Too heavy for us to lift. It must have broke up just before it hit the ground. It didn't produce any craters. They just tore up the grass and dirt then the big one came to a rest next to a large tree. The tree had caught on fire, was quickly extinguished because it was spring, everything was wet and green. It didn't kill the tree, just caused it to lose the branches just above the meteorite. Really cool. Haven't been by to look at it since. I wonder if it's still there?

You would have to know the exact time & place of an asteroid then at that point you would be better off trying to move EARTH before you deflect an asteroid!💯%fact since they are traveling at 400, 000 mph
